Passive stress reduction: The fastest, easiest way to relief

image

Science has proven that if you spend months and years learning to meditate, your stress will melt and your health will improve.

High blood pressure, hypertension, obesity, anger, anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic pain, tense relationships, work stress – all these give way to a feeling of being grounded and present and in control.

If you are like most people, you have not put in the months and years of effort in order to learn the art of deep relaxation. You struggle to meditate and lose interest when progress is painstakingly slow.

Meanwhile, stress is eating you alive. You know something needs to be done, but are at a loss for the right tool.

This is why I am a big fan of passive stress reduction through light and sound technology. I have been studying it since the 1900’s and have watched in amazement as it has become more sophisticated. It really works and it requires NO EFFORT.

Light and sound technology works to entrain your brain to enter the just the right state for your needs. Through audio-visual stimulation at just the right frequency, your brainwaves naturally adjust to give you the outcome you are looking for.

If you need to relax deeply, there’s an application for deep relaxation. If you need focus, you got it. If you need energy, set the technology to stimulate the right brain waves, sit back, relax and notice the significant energy increase when you are done.

The latest and greatest development in light and sound technology is the PSIO. PSIO has taken audio-visual stimulation to the next level by 1) making it gentle on the eyes and 2) combining it with binaural beat sound technology and gentle music to stimulate both sides of the brain and 3) creating over 100 programs to choose, from energy, to personal performance, meditation and personal development 4) making it compact and easy to use by combining all necessary components into one compact device.

Here’s how PSIO works for me:

The technology consists of a high tech pair of glasses that diffuse gentle light signals in front of your eyes (it is effective with eyes open or closed). You pop in the ear buds, too, to get either binaural beats and soothing music, or voice guidance, depending on the program you choose that is synchronized with the light show. That’s it!

Choose the program that fits your needs in the moment, whether energy, joy, sleep, focus, memory, weight loss, pain management, quitting smoking, general relaxation, a power nap or many other applications.

Then, sit back and do nothing for a few minutes other than enjoy the psychedelic light and sound show. My personal results are typical. When I sit down, I subjectively rate my state on a scale of 1-10.

The other morning, my energy was low – about a four – no coffee yet and a bad diet the day before. So, I played the energy program for 16 minutes, took off the glasses, waited another minute or two and rated my level of energy at an eight! That’s it. I did nothing else. I even skipped my morning cup of coffee and felt great.

Is this all placebo? I don’t know or care because it works. However, if you are interested in validation through scientific research, there is plenty of it.

Dave Siever: The Effect of Brain Wave Synchronization on Endodontic Anxiety

He recorded the heart rate and GSR of participants during the root canal procedure. And as expected, all three groups experienced the most anxiety while receiving the “freezing” injection. However, the group that received visual stimulation and music had the lowest heart rate throughout the root canal procedure.

The Use of Repetitive Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE) in the Management of Chronic Pain

This patient sustained a back injury several years prior to this study and was taking an average of 35 Extra Strength Tylenol daily before AVE sessions were introduced. He had attempted suicide one month prior to the beginning of the study. He stated that if the AVE therapy did not help him, he would attempt suicide again. We are pleased to report that he is alive today.

A Comprehensive Review of the Psychological Effects of Brainwave Entrainment, Tina L Huang, PHD, and Christine Charyton, PhD

This binaural beat research paper nicely summarises 20 previous peer-reviewed studies into the psychological effects of brainwave entrainment.

The overall conclusion was that brainwave entrainment is an “effective therapeutic tool”. People suffering from cognitive functioning deficits, stress, pain, headaches & migraines, PMS and other behavioral problems all benefitted from using binaural beats.

Research by Dr Vincent Giampapa, MD, Former President of American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine

Dr. Giampapa suggested that binaural beats “dramatically” affects the production of three hormones directly related to longevity of life and overall well-being; cortisol, DHEA and melatonin.

PSIO works by:

Blocking rumination (brain chatter).

Causing the user’s attention to move into a state of radical rest thanks to an uninterrupted flow of sound and light.

Maintaining the mind in a twilight state, at the edge of sleep.  This state has been known for over half a century for its effect on increased focus, memorization, information management, integration, energy levels and recovery.
