How One Woman Completely Reversed Her Type 2 Diabetes In 5 Months

They hand you some drugs, “come in for periodic check-ups” and “just deal with it, you’ll have this for the rest of your life”.

This is completely false and the worst thing doctors tell patients.

How Danielle Became Her Own Inspiration

Danielle is 35 and has been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes for 3 years.

She followed the “protocol”. She adopted the so-called “low carb, American Diabetes Association-approved diet”, took her medications religiously and hoped for the best.

Only that the “best” was delaying, making way for “worse”. Her blood sugar was steadily increasing in spite of her best efforts.

She went on a self-education rampage, reading every book she could find and trying extreme starvation diets to “optimal vegan diets”.

She almost gave up hope entirely when we started working together. Her fasting blood sugar was 180 and after eating it would explore to 250+, sometimes even 300 (332 was her “max”). Her Hb1Ac was 8.9 and her kidneys were in very poor condition.

After explaining to her that we got his “nutrition” thing all wrong in the past decades, I strongly suggested her to apply the “Sugarless Principle” to her diet. That meant that she would have to remove all foods that were, in one way or another, sugar.

We started small. I suggested to change her breakfast first and keep at it for 2 weeks.

She changed her breakfast from orange juice, toast with jam and butter to an omelette with cheese. She varied her breakfast with other high-fat meals throughout her 2 week period.

After 2 weeks, she changed her lunch and alternated it for 2 weeks.

Lastly, she changed her dinner.

This process seems very smooth and easy but let me assure you, it’s not. She relapsed a couple of times to high-carb, processed foods that made her sick and lose a lot of progress.

At times, she felt depressed, exhausted and didn’t want to continue.

Nevertheless, we marched on with support from her friends and myself – and I helped her with some supplements to reduce the crazy sugar cravings. (glutamine helps a lot, as well as cocoa and cinnamon)

After 5 months of eating right, on-and-off, she went for a check-up with her M.D. and was curious about the results.

She then called me enthusiastically to tell me that her fasting blood sugar is now 100 and her Hb1Ac was down to 5.9. Her kidneys were in much better shape and her M.D. was bewildered at what and why this happened.
