Most of the babies start sprouting their teeth when they are between 4 to 12 months or later. An early developer will get his first teeth when he will be 3 months old but a late bloomer will have to wait for one year and more. Teeth of your babies actually start developing in the mother’s womb and tooth buds form in gums. The teeth breaks in such a way that the bottom two middle teeth comes out  first, then the top middle ones and then comes the turn of the side and back teeth. They may not be in shape, but they will get straightened by the time.   1. Incisors (bottom front) – These teeth are the first ones to come out around 4 to 6 months.
  2. Incisors (top front) – These teeth are shown in babies after coming out of the bottom front teeth, around 6 to 8 months.
  3. Top Lateral Incisors- These teeth are shown in either top side when the babies are around 9 months to 12 months.
  4. Bottom Lateral Incisors- These teeth are witnessed on either of the sides and occur between 10 to 12 months.
  5. Molars- Around 12 to 16 months, the babies will have their back teeth.
  6. Canines- These teeth come after molars when they are 16 to 20 months old.
  7. Second Molars- By the time of 20 to 30 months, the babies are blessed with second molar.

Most of the infants have all of their milk teeth when they are around two and a half or three years old.

  • Tips to Soothe Your Teething Baby: There are many processes to make the teething comfortable for your baby. As every child is different, you must find out the correct way that which will give their comfort during the teething period.
  1. Chewing- As the teething baby loves to chew, give your baby something to chew, like a firm rubber. Before giving, chill it in the refrigerator. Cold object is more effective for your kid’s chewing.
  2. Cold Food and Drinks- If your baby is above 6 months, give him cold food or drinks during the teething process. It will give them great relaxation. A bottle of icy cold water, chilled yogurt, blended peaches can be excellent than the room-temperature foods.
  3. Counter pressure- Your clean finger or teething toys with soft edges or wet toothbrush without toothpaste can be rubbed firmly on baby’s, gums to give them soothing. At first, they may scream because of their pain, but later on they will get relief.
  4. Bedtime Remedies- Teething in babies will give them severe pain and discomfort mostly at night. Topical and home-based treatments are supportive but your kid will sleep after easing out properly. The parents may look after their tiny tots sacrificing their sleep during the teething period.
  5. Avoid Amber Teething Necklace- Directly say no to these kind of necklaces because there is no medical evidence that these work while teething process and most of the pediatricians advise not to use them.
  • When to Consult a Doctor: Home remedies can make your child feel better, but consult a doctor if health problems get worse for a long time. If your child is suffering from high fever, diarrhea, rashes regularly including irritability, discomfort, drooling etc consult a doctor immediately. After the first teeth comes out, the teething process gets less painful. This process is not at all easy as it seems, but your little care will make your child free from troubles and pain while their teething. Gentle smile, hugs and affection to your baby can help them out in their crucial time.
  • Tips for Caring Your Baby’s New Teeth: Early dental care is a must if you want to see your baby smiling always. As soon as the first teeth appears, try to wash it twice a day gently with a washcloth. Take care of his food habits as they are now prone to cavities. Avoid toothpaste because it contains fluoride.  Your kid’s toothbrush must be soft, having a small head and large handle. First, use only wet toothbrush for your kid and brush it yourself until they are able to hold and brush the teeth by their themselves.

The type of severity and symptoms may vary from baby to baby. One may have the most comfortable teething process while the other will suffer in discomfort and tears. Still, you can expect to see few of the symptoms in your baby. These suggestions of teeth soothing may help you and your kid to get lesser pain and more happiness in this period..
