How to Do Lip Exercises?

In order to keep the muscles in the body in good shape they need exercise. This is true even for the lips. In order for the lips and the skin around the lips to stay firm, wrinkle free, and looking kissable it is important to exercise the lips often.

Smile and Kiss

This exercise can help the lips look firm and plump. Close your lips like you were going to kiss someone and as they are closed try to smile. You should hold this for a period of five seconds. After this time push the lips forward and blow a kiss. Hold this for five more seconds and then return to a smile. This exercise should be done 20 times in a row each day for full results.

Closed Mouth Smile

This exercise will keep the corners of the mouth from sagging. Fold your lips over your teeth. The outsides of your lips should be showing. Lift the corners of your mouth up so that you are making a smile. Hold this in position for a couple of seconds. Allow the lips a chance to relax. After that this exercise should be done at least 10 times. As your body adjusts to this you should increase the number of times that you repeat this exercise.

Lips Press With Resistance

This exercise will help keep the area around the mouth firm and strong. Press you lips together to form a straight line. Image that there is something that is trying to open your mouth. Keep your lips pressed firmly together and resist this force. After this take your middle finger and pull gently on the corners of your mouth for extra resistance. This position is then held for five seconds. The lips are then allowed to relax. This exercise should be repeated 10 times.

Lip Circles

Keep your mouth closed and try to pucker your lips. Move your lips slowly to the right and hold the position. Then slowly move your lips to the left and also hold this position. Try to move your lips so that they make a figure eight. To do this move them in one direction and then move them in the opposite direction. This exercise should be repeated 10 times.

The Oris

This exercise will help tighten the skin around the mouth and also make the lips look fuller. Put the index finger from both hands on the inside of the lips and pull them apart gently. Hold this position for 2 seconds and then pull on the lips a little bit harder. Repeat the different motions at least 25 times.

The O

This exercise will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles near the side of the mouth. For this position use your lips and your cheeks to form an O shape with your mouth. Keep your lips in this shape and try to smile. This should make the muscles in the cheeks contract. Hold the position for at least 10 seconds. Allow the mouth to rest and then repeat.

Pretend to Whistle

This is one of the best things to do to keep the lips in shape. Lips of people who whistle often or play wind instruments have big and kissable lips. Pick your favorite tune and turn it into a whistle. You should whistle this song at least three to five minutes every day. If you get bored with one song you can always choose another.

Pretend to Suck on Something

This exercise will help strength the muscles that are around the lips. Put your pointer finger into your mouth and suck on it has hard as you can. Doing so will allow the muscles in your cheeks to tighten. Hold the position for a period of 5 seconds. After this time allow the lips to relax and take your finger out of your mouth. This should be repeated at least 10 times.

Effectiveness

Lip exercises will help keep the mouth and the area around it in shape. Muscles need to be exercised in order to stay firm. The lip muscles need to be exercised to keep from sagging.
