Johnny The Healer Exposes Drug Rehabs And Outdated Toxic Therapies

Failed Drug Rehab Racket In America Exposed By Johnny The Healer

If you are one of the countless millions for whom conventional drug rehabilitation centers or addiction treatment has failed, its easy to become discouraged.  In this era of mass misinformation sponsored by corporate interests from companies that make  suboxone make it hard for the average person to find help. With it’s coordinated censorship of true medical facts in favor of profiteering, it is sometimes difficult to tell which way is down or up. In our society there are so many private interests looking to capitalize on misery and suffering that it is literally sickening, even worse than this is the fact that these private interests are doing so under the guise of purported medical facts, or in the pursuit of some supposed cure.

All of these lies not withholding, the facts remain, that the toxic solutions they are offering us for “recovery” from drug dependence are at the best, ineffective, and at the worst, deadly. Take one of our primary substitution therapies for heroin addiction, methadone, which as far back as 1975 was responsible for more deaths in New York City than heroin itself. The saddest part about this is that it plays directly into the hands of the pharmaceutical companies, because if those people would have died from heroin they would have done so without making any money for the corporate big-wigs, but instead these lethal doses of methadone directly improved their profits.

It would be one thing if methadone actually showed any promise as even a somewhat effective tool in treating heroin dependence, but almost all of the studies point to the contrary, with some studies pointing to a relapse rate of almost 90% within a five year period after starting methadone maintenance.

Like any method of treatment it is important to weigh the potential benefits against the potential costs, but when one does so with methadone it is immediately obvious that while there are quite serious potential costs, there are practically no long term benefits. In fact really all an individual is doing is delaying the eventual discomfort of opioid withdrawals that they will eventually have to suffer and that will be worse than what they would have suffered if they had never started methadone maintenance.

Here are some of the potential side effects of methadone use include

  • Slowed or troubled breathing
  • Drowsiness
  • Dry Mouth
  • Lightheadedness
  • Impaired concentration
  • Facial flushing
  • Irregular heart beat
  • Urinary retention
  • Tremors, unstable gait
  • Weakness, possible fainting
  • Seizures
  • Death
  • Addiction

Outdated Replacement Western Medicine Explained

One of the most amazing facts about it is that the majority of users report that withdrawing from methadone is actually a longer and more difficult withdrawal process than the one that an individual would face withdrawing from heroin. Bearing all these facts in mind, it really puts the phrase “Methadone is recovery” into serious doubt.

While methadone itself has been around for almost 80 years there are some newer pharmaceutical options that have hit the market since then, increasing the potential profits for drug companies with exclusive patents, like the ones they own on the trade names Subutex and Suboxone. This drug, whose primary ingredient is a synthetic opioid called buprenorphine, was released in 2002, and has become the new “standard of care” in the “treatment” of opioid addictions.

Like most fancy pharmaceutical preparations there are hundreds of wonder stories about how this miraculous drug has saved and improved quality of life for so many individuals. However there are always two sides to every story, like there was for Miles Malone, who died of buprenorphine poisoning after using it recreationally. These stories beg the question, if these are drugs that are supposed to be helping us with serious issues, why are they causing so many more serious problems, where does it all end?

The problem, plain and simple, is this; that our outdated approach to the treatment of addiction, drug substitution therapy and poisonous shame-based self help groups like the AA/NA program, are not helping addicts, in fact the majority of conventional drug rehabs cannot claim better than a 20% success rate in treating alcoholism or other forms of drug dependence, even with the use of medications.

Look at some of the headline grabbing examples just in the past few years of celebrities who were actively participating in 12 step programs. Amazingly talented and extremely successful people like Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robin Williams, who killed themselves with drugs and alcohol regardless of their countless stints in treatment and adherence to the principles of the 12 steps of Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous. It’s not hard to discern why these attempts failed, because the blind faith in what has been at the very best only a marginally successful treatment for addiction has continued in the face of important evidence pointing to the inherent contradiction in the foundation of what is now all but a prehistoric treatment modality.

People Need True Healing

Addicts are people in the grip of a progressive array of symptoms stemming primarily from chemical imbalances in the brain which are the product of a combination of factors including genetic predisposition, environment/social setting, and exposure to extraneous chemicals. What these people need is TRUE HEALING, not more toxic pharmaceutical preparations, not more toxic shame-based therapies, not more discouraging statistics or philosophies about how they will never truly recover for more than one day at a time! The assertion that addiction is an incurable disease and that medication and daily self-help meetings are the only way to even temporarily offset the progression of addiction is a cop-out in the face of what have been some admittedly overwhelming odds. However there is a solution to addiction, and it is much simpler and more direct than what most people would probably assume.
