You may have heard of amino acids, but what are they and what do they have to do with Marine Phytoplankton? The answer to that is easy! Amino acids play a very important role in all sorts of functions throughout the human body. They are actually proteins building block. In building various types of proteins, your body requires 20 amino acids. The proteins are used to maintain your body tissue, repair it, as well as for growth.

Marine Phytoplankton contains 16 of those amino acids. Some amino acids are actually produced by the human body, while others must come from diet. The ones in which your body produces are called non-essential amino acids, while the ones that must come from diet are referred to as essential amino acids. Don’t let the word “essential” fool you, because each amino acid is important for health. All amino acids work to keep us healthy and when deficient, health problem will occur.

Eight essential amino acids are found within Marine Phytoplankton working to heal tissue at an enhanced rate. Below are the eight essential amino acids that the body does not produce, but Marine Phytoplankton offers. Keep in mind that Marine Phytoplankton contains 16 amino acids, but these are just 8 of the essential ones.

Lysine – This essential amino acid is important when it comes to the maintenance and growth of nitrogen within the human body. It also helps the body in absorbing, as well as conserving calcium.

Methionine – This amino acid actually supplies sulpher as well as other compounds that are needed for a normal metabolism. It also assists the liver in processing fats and is part of a group of compounds called lipotropics.

Phenylalanine – Another one of the eight essential amino acids, this one acts as a building block for various proteins which the body manufactures. It can be converted to L-dopa, L-tyrosine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.

Trytophan – This one is a relaxant that helps to create normal sleep. It can also reduce both depression and anxiety. For those who have migraines, this amino acid can also be of assistance. It helps the immune system, reduces the chance of heart spasms, and works together with Tysine to lower cholesterol levels.

Histidine – This amino acid can be found in hemoglobin. It can be used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and has also been associated with treating allergies. It also helps in the maintenance of blood pH.

Isoleucine and Leucine – This particular amino acid has everything to do with muscle strength as well as muscle endurance and stamina. Muscle tissue will use this amino acid in order to gain energy. It also assists in the healing of bones, healing of one’s skin, and releases something called Enkephalins which is a pain reducer.

Valine – This amino acid is also used by the muscle to create energy. It is absorbed and used by the muscle directly.

Threonine – Lastly, this amino acid helps in the prevention of deposits of fat within ones liver. It also helps produce antibodies and can also be turned into Glycine within the central nervous system. This amino acid is required for ones gastrointestinal track to normally function.
