Ingredients

  • 2-3 bananas (depending on hair length)
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 Tablespoons coconut milk
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 drops rose water
  • If desired, 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt for a base

Preparation

In a medium-sized bowl, cut the bananas and mash them into a soft paste, then add coconut milk and honey and mix well. Add the oils and blend again until ingredients are thoroughly mixed, then transfer to a blender and process until smooth. Add rose water and the yogurt base, if desired.

Comb and damped your hair with a spritzing of water then apply the conditioner to your hair, working from the root to the tips. Once your hair has been thoroughly coated, tie it up loosely and put on a shower cap so that it can retain your body heat as it conditions. Leave for 30 minutes. When your time is up, rinse your hair well under a warm shower to make sure you have rinsed all of the fruit treatment from your hair, then shampoo as usual and let your hair dry naturally.

This indulgent treatment brings with it many advantages: it does not require expensive ingredients, even though it feel luxurious and it is both easy and quick to prepare and to use.
