A hack is when you do a trick, take or short cut or utilize a skills that produces an output with increase productivity and improved output. It doesn’t matter if it is a sore throat, improving your memory or fooling your body to achieve a desired result by tricking your body to experience less pain or simply achieving a result for fun. Best of all, it’s a great way to try out different ways to doing things and achieving the ultimate desired end result.

1. Enjoy Supersonic Hearing

Did you know each of your ears hears the world a little different? The next time you’re at a party and stuck in a boring conversation with a mumbler lean in with the right ear. The right ear is better at following the rhythms of speech. You’ll be able to hear more of the conversations around to. The left ear is more of a long distance detector. Turn your left ear toward the conversation across the room to tune in. Also, you’ll know when someone is trying to listen to your conversation if you notice them constantly turning their left ear toward you.

2. Use Cold Water to Relieve Your Nerves

If you’re nervous, take a deep breath and hold it and then splash some cold water on your fact. The combination of holding your breath and the cold water will trigger the mammalian reflex. This is a natural reflex for both animals and humans. This combines tricks the body into thinking it is diving (holding your breath) in cold water(splashing water) and natural allows oxygen to flow more efficiently.

3. Stop the Urge to Pee

I don’t know about you, but sometimes the urge to pee comes at the worst of time. It could be during an important meeting at work, on a conference call, walking down the street after dinner with no bathroom in site. Try this little trick. According to Larry Lipshultz, M.D., at the Baylor College of Medicine, think about sex. Fantasize about sex and what turns you on. During this mental exercise, the brain will be preoccupied with fantasies it will forget your need to pee.

4. Swallow Horse Pills Without Gagging

Swallowing large pills is one of the main complaints of many people about taking medicine, so next time, try this head trick. Take a gulp of water and place the pill in your mouth, tilt your head forward, not back. The pill will float to the back of your throat and easier to swallow.

5. Pay Yourself to Exercise

Money is a great motivator for many areas of life. Keep a “Tip Jar” next to your trendmill or workout shoes. Each time you workout leave a $1 for that extra motivation. Use the money to buy new exercise gear.

6. Exercise with Popsicle Sticks

This hack adds some fun and variety to your workout. All you’ll need to do is write down different do-it-at-home exercises like 10 burpies, 1 minute plank, etc. Place them in a jar and pick out the popsicle stick to do the exercise. It add variety to your workout, but mostly importantly you can easily grab one while watch TV.

7. Smell an Orange

The aroma of an orange helps to reduce your stress and make you feel more awake. Also, eat an orange with breakfast and inhale its scent to brighten your entire day.

8. Reduce Pain from a Toothache

When you have a tooth ache or tooth pain, take an ice cube and rub it directly on the back of your hand specifically on the webbed area between your index finger and thumb. This part of the hand carries helps to block pain signals in the brain from the hands and face.

9. Follow the 20/20/20 Rule to Reduce Eye Strain

Like most of us, you’re probably staring at a computer screen all day with many breaks so next time try time. The 20/20/20 rule is to try to look at some 20 seconds to look at an object at least 20 feet way every 20 minutes. This will allow you ear to reduce eye strain and you’ll soon feel the difference in your eyes and productivity.

10. Deskcersize

Deskcersize is sneaking in exercise while at your desk. You’ll be amazing how many calories you can burn while sitting behind your desk. Strengthens your abs placing your feet flat on the floor, sit straight up and tighten your ad muscles. You can also do a rolling motion with your ads, too. To tone your butt and thighs, place your feet flat on the floor and tighten your butt and thighs in 10 repetitions. Rest and repeat.
