The survey contained 19 questions regarding their sexual activeness. This included topics as overall sexual satisfaction and the frequency of their sexual engagement. The study results indicated those participants who were part of the group that ate more apples per day had increased sexual function and lubrication.

One of the reasons for the increased lubrication and function may be due to the presence of the compound called phloridzin. This naturally occurring compound actually mimics the hormone estradiol. This hormone helps to increase lubrications and female sexuality.

In addition, since apples are an excellent source of polyphenols and powerful antioxidants, they can help to increase blood throughout the body. For women, this means apples may also help to increase blood flow to the vagina and genitalia, thus making it easier to climax. Other well-known sources of polyphenols and antioxidants include chocolate and red wine. Both have been known to help women to become aroused.

The apple also offer a number of other natural health benefits including it high fiber content. High fiber foods help to keep the digestive system working properly.
