Health Freedom and Religious Liberty Under Attack by AAP

image

Is health freedom a right for you and your family? Not according to the American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP). Parents who refuse medical treatment for their children based on religious beliefs should just get out of the way! The AAP has a medical agenda that must not be interfered with by something as petty as religious liberties. If you, as a parent, believe in divine healing, for example, then you might as well be guilty of child abuse. If you honor the innate, God-given healing ability of your child’s body, then you are obviously an uneducated, uncaring parent guilty of neglect!

Pediatrician’s Group Not In Favor of Health Freedom

The American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP) has published a new policy(1) statement that practically favors the criminalization of refusing medical treatment for your children. According to the AAP policy, health freedom and religious liberty should not get in the way of medicating your child.

“Pediatricians and child abuse agencies should step in when parents’ religious beliefs keep kids from getting necessary medical care, doctors said Monday.”(1)

The ‘necessary medical care’, of course, would be defined by the AAP as any medical treatment recommended by the AAP, pediatricians, and the medical community in general. That is – only a doctor can decide what is necessary for your child. You, parent, are incapable of such a decision. If you even try to make that decision, then you are abusing your child!

Dr. Armand Antommaria, director of the Ethics Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio and one of the lead authors of the statement said: “The main considerations would be whether the lack of medical treatment would cause death or serious disability.”

Referenced, is the recent Ohio case of an Amish girl with leukemia whose parents refused chemotherapy treatment.(2) However, what is not considered (ever) is whether the medical treatment itself, such as chemotherapy(3), would cause death or serious disability.

The medical treatments that the AAP believes should be required are assumed to be completely safe. If complications, including death, do occur, then you should still feel good about your decision, knowing that you did the right thing for your child. However, if safer, natural treatments are pursued instead, you should feel guilty about not poisoning your child with toxic and dangerous drugs!

This is Ludicrous! This is America – the land of the free! This country was founded on religious liberty. America’s Founding Fathers desired a country where people were free to practice their religion and live their lives free of oppression.

That oppression was, at one time, the official state religion. However, more and more, that oppression today is the medical model and the pharmaceutical industry! They have a clearly defined set of (religious?) beliefs that they feel empowered to enforce on the public. We have seen what happens to people subjected to chemotherapy for cancer.

The AAP on Health Freedom and Childhood Vaccinations

We have also seen what happens to our children who are subjected to a relentlessly increasing schedule of vaccinations(4), as well.

  • Children raised in the 1950s received 16 doses of vaccines before age six.

  • By the 1980s, the number of vaccines had increased to 23 doses.

  • Now, in 2013, children receive 49 doses of 14 vaccines different vaccines before ever entering kindergarten.

Over this time, childhood disabilities and diseases of toxicity, like cancer, have increased dramatically(4).

  • Learning disabilities have increased over 500%.

  • Childhood asthma has increased 300%.

  • Autism has increased by over 1,100%.

  • Diabetes in children has increased 125%.

  • Cancer is now the #1 killer for children!(7)

Yet, the AAP recently reaffirmed their position that parents refusing vaccinations for their children are endangering them, as well as the community. In 2005, they published a policy for pediatricians dealing with parental refusals for vaccinations of their children(5). The AAP believes in and “strongly endorses universal immunization.” While they recognize the rights of parents in this matter, they stated that “parents must comply with immunization recommendations”.

Their latest statement(1) implies that they intend to continue to fight against religious and philosophical exemptions for vaccination as well. The current policy statement did not specifically mention vaccination exemptions, rather, it focused on ‘necessary medical treatment’ in general. However, their statements do not bode well for parents wishing to express religious liberty regarding vaccination choice.

Religious Conflict With Vaccination

Here is a brief excerpt from the website K.N.O.W. Vaccines(6) regarding religious conflict with vaccination.

  • Vaccines are made with toxic chemicals that are injected into the bloodstream by vaccination.

  • All vaccines are made with foreign proteins (viruses and bacteria), and some vaccines are made with genetically engineered viral and bacterial materials.

  • A conflict arises if you believe that man is made in God’s image and the injection of toxic chemicals and foreign proteins into the bloodstream is a violation of God’s directive to keep the body/temple holy and free from impurities.

  • A conflict arises if you accept God’s warning not to mix the blood of man with the blood of animals.

  • Many vaccines are produced in animal tissues.

  • A conflict arises if your religious convictions are predicated on the belief that all life is sacred.

This doesn’t sound extreme to me – whether in reference to vaccination or any other medical treatment. Yet the AAP feels that practicing your religious beliefs, such as these, is equivalent to child abuse!

What can you do?

  • First – Keep your children healthy and well to avoid the need for their so-called ‘necessary medical treatment.’ Avoid cancer-causing toxicity and learn to detoxify naturally. Practice these principles of Real Health and Wellness to help produce a body that is virtually disease-proof!

  • Second – Stay vigilant. Your individual rights and your rights as a parent are quickly being violated.

  • Third – Do not become complacent. Let your spirit of American individualism rise up in you and fight for your rights to health freedom!
