The research team also found that chlorella was able to shrink the amount of fat held within the fat cells, making it easier to lose weight as well as boosting the metabolism to increase energy levels and make it easier to burn fat.

One study, conducted in the laboratory, found that chlorella was also effective for helping with blood glucose levels, insulin efficiency and lipid profiles.
