Avocados are truly an amazing food for many reasons, but until recently, you wouldn’t know it. Study found that, adding fresh avocado to a midday meal had any effect on insulin response, blood sugar levels, feelings of fullness and food intake for the rest of the day. It also reduces the risk of cancer, liver damage and Vitamin K deficiency-related bleeding.

Balance Hormones

Avocados contain high levels of glutathione, a potent antioxidant. They have a higher fibre content than apples, and by keeping things moving through the body, they promote hormone balance and eliminate toxic material. Research has showed that when a woman eats just one avocado per week hormones are balanced, unwanted birth weight is shed and cervical cancer risk is reduced.

Avocados are a ‘brain food’

It is one of the best brain-healthy foods that you can consume to help reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s. Omega 3 fatty acids as well as Vitamin E are naturally occurring in avocados and have been clinically proven to stop Alzheimer’s disease from progressing and possibly even reversing the very early stages.

Prevent Cancer

There is limited evidence that avocado may be beneficial in preventing cancer. One study showed that it may help reduce side effects of chemotherapy in human lymphocytes.Avocado extract has also been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Boost Metabolism

Avocados are rich in mono-unsaturated fats, B vitamins, protein, fiber and chromium. They are also alkaline and prevent stress. Since they contain healthy fats, they help keep you fuller longer and promote satiety. Their nutrient composition spurs your metabolism to run high and steady all morning long.

Best Way To Eat Avocado

This chocolate avocado pudding is so good it’s sinful. Except that it’s not sinful at all. It’s gluten free, sugar free and dairy free.
