7 Compelling Reasons To Keep Coconut Oil In Your Bathroom

You’re missing a lot if you are not benefiting from pure coconut oil.  If you thought coconut oil can only be used for cooking, look at these 7 compelling reasons to keep coconut oil in your bathroom.

1.       Fight Gum Disease and Tooth Decay

Experts consider coconut oil as the best natural product that promotes good health, including oral health.  Do you know that coconut oil is perhaps the best natural remedy to fight gum disease and tooth decay?  The reason is that this oil can destroy and kill all microbes.

To fight the microbes in your mouth, perform oil pulling using coconut oil.  One scientific proof is a study whose results confirm the ability of oil pulling using coconut oil to kill Streptococcus mutans that thrive in the mouth.  The bacteria trigger gum disease and tooth decay.

Coconut oil delivers the same effects as chemical-based oral products. The big difference is that the oil is pure with no adverse effects on the body unlike most chemical-based products.

2.       Hydrate and Moisturize Your Skin

Aside from water, virgin coconut oil hydrates your skin cells naturally.  Just as plants need water, your skin needs hydration to keep its good health condition.  Hydrating the skin prevents dryness and other skin disorders that can lead to premature skin aging.  You’ll also be able to keep your skin younger-looking with proper hydration.

Virgin coconut oil is an excellent alternative to commercial moisturizers.  It will keep your skin soft, smooth, and supple without exposing it to harsh ingredients from chemicals found in commercial skin care products.

3.       Detoxify and Deodorize Your Armpit

Consider throwing away your chemical-based deodorant.  Use coconut oil instead.  The chemicals in commercial deodorant alter your body chemistry and may carry both short and long-term side effects.

Examples of these side effects from chemical-based deodorants are darkening of the armpits, developing degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer.  These chemicals may also increase your risks of skin cancer.

Coconut oil does not only make your armpit smell better, but it can also detoxify your skin.   It can even work to control your underarm sweat. The best part is that it will free you from side effects.

4.       Condition Your Hair Naturally

There’s overwhelming evidence on how pure coconut oil can condition the hair.  This is regardless of the type of your hair.

The Journal of Cosmetic Science has published a study proving the effectiveness of coconut oil as a natural hair conditioner.  In this same study, coconut oil has outperformed other oils including mineral oil and sunflower oil.

The reason is unlike most oils, pure coconut oil prevents protein loss.  This loss is the major cause of hair problems such as breakage and dryness.

Coconut oil is also great to detangle curly hair, but do not use too much or it will create an oily look.

5.       Baby Soft Shaved Legs

For super soft legs, rub coconut oil on your legs just before shaving.

6.       Rashes and Burns

A small dap of coconut oil can do wonders to soothe skin rash or burns. It works great to eliminate diaper rash naturally.

7.       Eye Make-up Remover

Use coconut oil after washing your face to remove remaining make-up.

These are just 7 of the many reasons to keep coconut oil in your bathroom.  You’ll never run out of good reasons.

Are you keeping coconut oil in your bathroom now? Don’t you think it’s time you should?
